In Case You Missed the Clue...
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day yesterday, filled with loving family and good food.
But I know for some people, it was hard to be thankful this Thanksgiving. Maybe it was because of loneliness, family stress, ongoing trials, or plain uncertainty about the future. I know from experience that sometimes the daily battles can be a little more poignant around the holidays. No matter your situation this Thanksgiving weekend, I pray that you are able to rest in the truth that our God is good, and His mercy endures forever. At the end of the day, no matter what blessings and trials are in our lives, our hearts can and should cry with the Psalmist, "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." (Ps. 118:1) FOR HE IS GOOD. Let's give thanks for this -- and hang our lives upon it -- not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.

If you haven't connected with me on social media yet (specifically Instagram, which is where I love to hang out!) you may have missed an important announcement last month!
I dropped a mention of it on the sly in this post, but it was quick and missing the bit of fanfare Something Such As This deserves.

That's right! Our second baby is well on the the way, due April 2020, and we can't wait! These photos were taken about a month ago, but by now Baby has had a growth spurt and has been wiggling and kicking for several weeks now -- my favorite part of being pregnant! Already counting the days until the all-important ultrasound when we find out baby #2's gender! Are you Team Boy or Team Girl?? Let me know in the comments!

As we enter the Christmas season, I know life and our schedules will be full, but I'm hoping to start sharing some of the projects I have been mulling over and working on lately. Plus, I'm sharing some of my favorite holiday recipes over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
Now, let the most wonderful time of the year begin!
